Fall seasons winding down, but more awards handed out

(YSCC) -- Fall season is winding down, but more Athlete of the Week Awards handed out.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - Megan Duval, Central Maine CC
(Junior, Mid/F - Jay, ME, 6)

MEN'S SOCCER - Jamal Durrani, Southern Maine CC
(Jr., D - Lebanon, Maine, 13)

Durrani scored the game-winner in SMCC's double overtime 1-0 win at Unity College on Oct. 5.

2015: Durrani played in 11 games as a freshman...started one.

2016: Played in 11 games...started one...scored one goal.

2017: Named co-captain of the team.

Before SMCC: Durrani graduated from Noble HS where he was a multi-sport athlete in soccer and wrestling...honors student.

WOMEN'S X-COUNTRY - Rebecca Broadbent, Vermont Technical College (Senior, XC - Dighton MA)

Rebecca set her fastest 5K time at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State on Saturday, October 7th. Her 19:07 5K time earned her 11th/257 competitors in her Varsity heat and the 11th fastest time of the day.

MEN'S X-COUNTRY - Michael Dunkle, Vermont Technical College
(Freshman, XC - Tunbridge VT)

Michael has been battling sickness all season and on Saturday set a personal record 8K race in the James Earley Invitational held in Westfield MA on October 7th

VOLLEYBALL - Colleen Kostovick, Me.-Machias
(Junior, MH - , 21)
