YSCC Basketball Players of the Week announced

(YSCC) - The Yankee Small College Conference is proud to announce the athletes of the week awards for Week 1 of the 2019-2020 Winter sports season. 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Madeline Suhr | University of Maine Augusta | F | SO

Sophomore forward, Madeline Suhr, had a monster week scoring 23 points and pulling in 18 rebounds against Central Maine Community College. Suhr helped lead her team to snap CMCC's 56 conference game winning streak. This followed up a 24 point/18 rebound/5 block/and 4 assist game against Vermont Tech to open the season. Suhr is in her first year at UMA and is a Biology major.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Nicholas Robertson | Unity | G | FR

Nick Robertson had a game-high 35 point performance against NHTI on Saturday. Nick had 35 points to go along with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Nick also went 10-13 from the foul line. Against CMCC, Nick had 15 points, to go along with two rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Nick averaged 25 points per game for the week.
