Mustangs Defeat Adirondack CC in Low-Scoring Affair

Myrtle Beach, SC - Both teams were strong on the rubber Thursday, but Central Maine Community College Mustangs defeated Adirondack Community College 3-2. Central Maine Community College Mustangs pitchers allowed just two hits to Adirondack Community College.

Adirondack Community College got things moving in the second inning. A single on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Central Maine pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Riley McNamara singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Olivia Scott singled on the first pitch scoring two runs. McNamara earned the win for Central Maine Community College Mustangs. The fireballer surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out three and walking one.

Sophie took the loss for Adirondack. Scott started the game for the Mustangs lasting three innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out five.

Scott also led CM with two hits in two at bats.

Alyvia Perreault, Emily Wormwood, and Sarah Poli each added a hit for the Mustangs.
