Saurman Throws Shutout as the Great Bay Herons Defeat Central Maine CC

Josh Saurman didn't allow a single run as the GBCC Herons defeated Central Maine Community College 2-0 on Saturday for their second win of the double header. Saurman allowed just five hits and induced a groundout from Walker to end the game.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Josh Saurman struck out one, while St. Pierre sat down two.

Great Bay captured the lead in the second inning as Jay Rodriguez's sac fly scored one run.

A single by Biron in the third inning was a positive for the Mustangs.

Rodriguez went 1-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with one run batted in. Great Bay was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jose Soto made the most plays with seven.

Central Maine collected five hits, Biron and Wheeler each collected multiple hits.
