Bobcats fall in OT in the Carrier Dome.
Feb. 19th - Syracuse, NY - On Tuesday the Men's Basketball team traveled for their last game of the season to take on rival SUNY ESF in the Carrier Dome. The winner of the game would take home the Barkeater Cup.
The Bobcats fought valiantly throughout the game leading the game at one point by more than double , and went into the half up by six points. At the start of the half the 'Cats went into a big scoring run putting them up by 13 points. But even with the stifling defense the Bobcats brought with them witch held the Oaks to under 30 percent shooting on the day ESF wouldn't give up so quietly and so slowly started chipping away at the Bobcats lead. Eventually leading to the Oaks making a few free throws near the end of the game to end regulation at 67-67 forcing overtime. Both teams would go back and forth in overtime but the Mighty Oaks would eventually pull away with some late free throws and a 77-74 overtime win and claim the coveted Barkeater Cup.
Top contrubutors for the Bobcats were Junior Rahiem Robinson (Hartford, CT) who scored a team high 16 points. Jake Majkut (Cohoes, NY) drained four threes and finished with 13 points while Donovan Miller (Glens Falls, NY) playing in his final game as Bobcat recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds he also picked up three blocks and two steals.
Paul Smith's finishes the season with an record of 10-21 overall, 5-11 in YSCC conference play.
