Great Bay Softball Tripped up by Castelton University in Fifth Inning

The Great Bay Community College softball team was in a battle with Castleton University 2-1 entering the fifth inning in Fort Myers Florida when Castleton broke the game open with six runs. Harlee Palmer (Winnacunnet) pitched four strong innings allowing two runs before tireing in the fifth. Zoe Vailencourt (Dover) pitched the last inning. Audrey Notargiacomo (Winnacunnet) lead the offense with two bunt hits and a run scored, Kayleigh MacDougall (Farmington)  had a long single and reached base three times and Meaghan Sandler (Marshwood)  had a single and walk. Amelia Sheedy (Portsmouth Christian Academy) had another tremendous defensive game at third and walked, Emily Brashear (PCA) walked and threw out an attempted steal at second. Great Bay (0-2) plays the University of Wisconsin Superior on Saturday.
