Syracuse, NY-
The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Women's Basketball team defeated Paul Smith's College on Wednesday evening, 101-32. The win for the Lady Bobcats improves their record to 10-1 on the season. This is just the second time in program history that the Lady Bobcats have reached the 10-win mark.
How it Happened:
On Wednesday night, the Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Women's Basketball took on visiting Paul Smith's College for just the second ever meeting between the two teams. The first meeting came back in 2019 which saw the Lady Bobcats earn a big victory over the Bobcats of Paul Smith's College, 83-20.
The story of the game on Wednesday night followed a similar narrative to the previous meeting with Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse running away with a dominant victory. Leading the way for the Lady Bobcats on the night were guards Jehiah Cook (36 points) and Suliat Afolabi (16 points). Three other players for Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse managed to get into double figures in scoring on the evening and a full team effort helped the Lady Bobcats to their 10th victory of the season. The final score on the night was 101-32.
"Our group was really excited to get back on the court following another stretch of the season without any games," said Head Coach Quantae Elijah. "We did a great job of asserting ourselves early and executing our gameplan throughout the course of the night. We need to keep looking to get better as we head for the final part of the season."
Next Game:
The Lady Bobcats will be on the road this Friday, February 3rd at 3:00pm for a tough matchup against Jamestown Community College.
