Bobcats Roll Eagles in Men's Basketball
Southington, CT ~ The Paul Smith's College men's basketball team was on a mission in Connecticut Monday night to start the second half of their season with a win. They executed that mission to perfection against New England Baptist College Eagles with a dominant 109-53 win, putting them at 6-8 overall.
Anthony Henson (Orlando, FL) led the way for the Bobcats with 30 points, including six triple from behind the arc and 8 rebounds. Kareem Chapman (Bronx, NY) put together an impressive all-around performance with 17 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Elijiah Pratt (Queen Village, NY) also contributed healthy numbers with 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. 6'7" senior center Anthony Frasier had a big night on the boards with 12 rebounds while adding six points and three blocks.
The Bobcats got significant contributions from the non-starters, with 32 points coming off the bench. Senior guard Anthony Miller Jr. (New Haven, CT) had 10 points off the bench with three steals, three assists, and three blocks. Spring transfer Howard Turner (Brooklyn, NY) contributed eight points and 10 rebounds. Steven Solórzano displayed a strong defensive game, coming away with four steals on the night.
Paul Smith's College continue their five-game road trip on Wednesday night, playing at 8pm against the University of Maine Augusta Moose at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, ME.
