Mustangs Tie SeaWolves in South Portland

So.Portland, ME - In their fourth game of the season, the Mustangs, with a record of 1-1-1 traveled to South Portland to take on their in-state rivals Southern Maine Community College.   Although the Seawolves clearly held the edge in shots, the game would be everything a rivalry should be.   It wasn't until 30 minutes into the game that Emma Bonneville opened the scoring to put Southern Maine up 1-0, but the lead would hold for just under three minutes.   Hannah Champagne leveled the score with an unassisted goal for the Mustangs.   A scoreless second half allowed both teams to walk out of there with a point and a final score of 1-1.   Sydney Proctor earned 4 saves for Southern Maine while Mustang keeper Maggie McConkey turned back 28 of 29 shots in an outstanding performance.
