Randolph Center, VT: Saturday, the men's basketball team hosted the NHTI Lynx for an important conference game. The Lynx jump out to an early 15 point lead before the Knights went on a 20-9 to close the half only trailing by 4 (38-34).
The Knights hung around with tough defense but struggled to put the ball in the hoop. The Lynx were able to use their size to wear down the Knights and walked away with a 84-65 victory. " I thought we played really well defensively, but when you can't put the ball in the hoop it's frustrating '' Coach Jamal Hughes said. "Unfortunately we had some let downs towards the end because of it."
BJ Jenkins led the Knights with 11 points, while Jaylon Calvin dished out 6 assists to keep the VTC afloat in the first half. Balanced scoring helped the Lynx with 4 players finishing in double figures.
The Knights travel to Henniker, NH to take New England College on Wednesday.
