Lady Seawolves fall short in Concord

CONCORD, N.H.-- The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's volleyball team fell to the Lynx of NHTI 3-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

In the first set, SMCC scored 21 points but struggled in the attack, recording a hitting percentage of .042. The second set saw a match low 16 points, and third matched the first. Despite the loss, the Seawolves showed resilience in the final set, scoring more points and improving their hitting percentage.

Junior captain Rachel Pardi (Portland, Maine) was the top scorer for her team with three kills. First-year Jessica Spratt (Alloway, N.J.) contributed one kill, while sophomore Anna White (Buxton, Maine) had two. First-year Patrice Broughton (Hartford, Conn.) performed well with five kills, and sophomore Jordan Bickford (Cumberland, Maine) led the team in assists with 11 and contributed three service aces.

Sophomore Breanna Kerr (Lawrenceville, Ga.) added to her team-leading dig count with 12 on the day.

The Seawolves slip to .500 at 5-5, 3-3 in conference play.
