Game 1

Central Maine Community College Mustangs won big over Southern Maine Community College SeaWolves 9-1 on Friday. The Mustangs fired up the offense in the first inning. Paige Ouellette tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

The Mustangs then scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Alyvia Perreault and by Olivia Gallan.

Olivia Scott was credited with the victory for the Mustangs. The bulldog allowed two hits and one run over five innings, striking out 12. Hailie Casey took the loss for the SeaWolves. She allowed 13 hits and nine runs over four and two-thirds innings.

The Mustangs racked up 13 hits in the game. Scott, Abby Ferland, and Perreault all managed multiple hits. Scott went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Mustangs in hits. The Mustangs was sure handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.

Game 2

Olivia Gallan showed timely hitting in game 2 driving in five runs on three hits to lead the Mustangs past the SeaWolves 16-2 on Friday. Gallan drove in runs on a double in the second, a single in the third, and a single in the seventh.

The SeaWolves tried to fire up their offense in the first inning. Erica Hill grounded out, scoring one run. The Mustangs scored eight runs in the seventh inning. Emily Wormwood, Alyvia Perreault, Gallan, and Paige Ouellette all drove in runs in the frame.

Riley McNamara got the win for Central Maine Community College Mustangs. The hurler surrendered two runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. Hailie Casey took the loss for the SeaWolves. Casey went seven innings, allowing 16 runs on 18 hits and striking out four.

The Mustangs tallied 18 hits on the day. Gallan, Ouellette, Olivia Scott, Wormwood, Sage Cormier, and McKenna Ridlon all collected multiple hits for the Mustangs. Ouellette and Gallan each managed three hits each for the Mustangs. The Mustangs tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Gallan led the way with three.

Coach Robertson stated, "We needed this. We (the coaches) have been hard on the players all week to start to turn it up and gear up as we are hoping for another shot to make Nationals again. This is the time we need to start sharpening up everything and it paid off today! Now we need to keep it up the rest of the season."
