Concord, NH (September 12, 2023) – Hitting the road for the first time on the season, the Northern Essex men's soccer team and freshman Jadiel Bomfim (Nashua, NH) picked up a 5-0 win on the road Tuesday afternoon to improve to 2-1 on the young season. Bomfim continued his hot start to the season as recorded his fourth and fifth goals of the season.
The Knights outshot the Lynx 25-17 for the game including putting 16 shots on goal.
Jonathan Diaz (Methuen) got the scoring started for the Knights in the 24th minute on a goal assisted by Bomfim. Estavan Arango (Nashua, NH) notched a goal in the 38th minute before Bomfim sent his first of the game past the keep in the 42nd minute.
Less than ten minutes into the second half Bomfim recorded his second of the game on a goal assisted by Kaleb Gianini (Lowell), before Gianini recorded a goal of his own in the 73rd minute to cap off the scoring.
Will Paganini (Derry, NH) picked up his second win of the season and first collegiate shutout in goal as he recorded 13 saves in net.
