Women's Volleyball blanked at NECC

HAVERHILL, Mass.-- The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's volleyball team was defeated 3-0 at Northern Essex Community College (NECC) in non-conference play on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

In the first set, SMCC scored 12 points, followed by 22 points in the second set, and 20 points in the third.

Junior captain Rachel Pardi (Portland, Maine) stood out with seven kills on 18 attempts, earning her a kill percentage of .278. She also contributed one block and two digs, accumulating a total of 9.0 points for her team. Sophomore Anna White (Buxton, Maine) also made an impact for SMCC, scoring three kills out of 13 attempts and adding seven digs to her name.

SMCC stands 4-3 overall.

The Lady Seawolves return to action on Friday, Sept. 29 when they travel to Yankee Small College Conference foes Central Maine Community College. First set in Auburn is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
