Mustangs and Hawks Split Double Header.

The Central Maine Mustangs split a doubleheader with York County Community College on Sunday night in Auburn.
In game one, Andrew Trombley collected three hits for the Mustangs as they defeated York County 10-2. Trombley singled in three consecutive innings and had two RBI. The Mustangs had a big third inning as Garren Post tripled and scored, Brady Vincent doubled and scored, and Lee Roberson had a two-run single.
Ryan Stone added an RBI double in the second inning. By
Trevor Phelps was dominant on the mound, giving up just two hits and striking out eight. Levi Tibbetts came in and pitched the seventh.

The Mustangs came out flat in game two, got behind early, and never recovered. The Mustangs defense committed eight errors en route to a 12-2 loss.
Brandon Gour was the bright spot in the Mustangs lineup with two hits. Levi Tibbetts finished with one hit and Stone added an RBI.
Logan Carpenter, Connor Madden, and Brody Walsh shared the pitching duties for the Mustangs.
"We just really struggle to combine two games, " head coach Ryan Palmer said. "In game one, we had great pitching, defense, and timely hitting. The total package, really" he added. "In game two, we were just flat and never dug ourselves out of it. Despite the score, our pitching wasn't terrible. The defense let us down"
The Mustangs are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Concord New Hampshire to take on NHTI in YSCC action beginning at 4:00
