(Augusta, ME) - It was an exciting Wednesday night at the Augusta Civic Center, where the UMA Moose would take on the visiting SMCC Seawolves in a YSCC clash. This game had a bit of a casting shadow for Kaeti Butterfield and Alisyn Alley, as it was this time a year ago, the Moose let a late lead slip away giving SMCC the victory. It was evident early, after Butterfield scored the first points of the game on a strong layup and assist from Alley that history would not repeat itself. The Seawolves also were trying to prove they were not going down without a fight, and would end the 1st quarter with a 13-10 lead over the Moose. It was back and forth to start the second, until the Moose found their offensive rhythm, scoring 21 points and heading into the locker rooms with a 31-24 lead. UMA would again extend the lead in the 3rd to 48-37, until glimpses of the past started to creep in, when the Seawolves battled back to within 5pts, mid way through the 4th quarter. However; the Moose made waves and pushed the lead back to end the game with a final score of 74-63.

The Moose were led by Alisyn Alley, 24pts - 10 rebounds - 7 assists, Kaeti Butterfield, 24pts - 5 rebounds, and Brianna Poulin, 12pts - 9 rebounds - 4 blocks. The Moose will now look ahead to Tuesday, November 21, 5:30pm when they take on Presque Isle at the Augusta Civic Center.
