Injury Ridden Mustangs Fall to NHTI

Concord, NH – The game is played in two halves.  CM played the first half at NHTI Saturday-- played together, shared the ball, and made shots.  Their reward: a 37-35 halftime lead.

Then the wheels fell of the bus.   The home team rattled off 12 unanswered points in the first 90 seconds of the second half and didn't let up after that, steamrolling the Mustangs by a 104-70 win at the Goldie Crocker gym.  CM just could not get untracked in the second period.

The injuries mount today, as Malik Farley went down with an ankle injury early in the second half.   In a game where point guard Corey David is out of the season, Mark McDonald is barely playing on a bad ankle, Josh Thomson is out with a concussion, AJ Cunningham is playing with a bruised left arm, Matty Attard is just back at 100% after his leg injury, and the loss of first semester star, Sakwon Williams, the Mustangs are a team in search of new meaning.   In the first six games this semester, only one player, Nic Dierynck has played all six games.   Bench players are stepping up and working hard, but need time to adjust to their new roles.

AJ Cunningham had 12 points and 5 rebounds to lead CM.

The loss drops CM to a 15-6 overall record and 10-2 in conference
