Mustangs fall to Seawolves in South Portland.

So. Portland, ME- The Mustangs traveled to a rival country Wednesday to take on the SeaWolves of SMCC and limped home defeated by a 72-66 margin.

CM enjoyed a good start, jumping out to an 18-10 lead. That was short-lived, as defensive breakdowns led to a 31-30 SMCC lead going into the half.

The Mustangs came out flat in the second half, allowing the home team to run out to a 17-point lead. Again, defensive breakdowns, a lack of physicality, and missed shots plagued the Mustangs for the first 12 minutes of the half. A 12-4 run brought the squad back into the game, but lack of focus and poor shot selection let the SMCC lead go back to 10 points.

At the end of the game, the team that executed, worked harder, and made better decisions won the game.

CM travels to Albany on Sunday to finish out the regular season.
