YSCC Bowling ready to go
AUGUSTA, ME –This weekend 10 teams from 5 schools will compete in the YSCC Bowling Championship. Saturday starts with team play, kicking off at the Augusta Sparetime Recreation bowling alley at 1PM, followed by individual play on Sunday starting at 10AM.
Paul Smith College will be returning, looking to repeat their championship performances from the last three years. Their three teams are currently ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Following Paul Smith's, the rankings are as follows: NHTI (2), UMA (1), Unity, Vermont Tech, NHTI (1), UMA Bangor, and UMA (2).
On Sunday, the top 20 men and women from the league will face off in individual play. On the men's side currently Chris Comeau (NHTI) with a 222.20 average, Taylor West (Paul Smith) averaging 218.40, and Joseph DeAvilla (NHTI) who is averaging 217, sit atop the individual standings.
On the women's side, Paul Smith's holds the top four spots. Leading the pack, Jessica Korkemaz, who is averaging 189.8. Kalei Fee, Abbey Boudrieau, and Dana Tompkins are averaging 183.40, 170.00, and 163.20 respectively.
