First YSCC spring POTW awards handed out

(YSCC) - The Yankee Small College Conference is proud to announce our Week 1 Spring Student/Athlete of the Week Awards:

SOFTBALL
Olivia Langevin | NHTI | FR | SS
Olivia, a freshman infielder from Epsom, N.H., was 20 for 28 at the plate with included two doubles and one triple. She scored 19 runs, battled in 10 RBIs, and had eight stolen bases while only striking out once and getting walked five times. She was near perfect in the field by converting on all but 1 of the 24 attempts she had.

BASEBALL
Dylan Francoeur | Southern Maine CC | SO | P/1B

Sophomore captain Dylan Francoeur made two pitching appearances last week to include a start and a complete game win vs. NJCAA-opponent Bunker Hill Community College. He came out of the bullpen to help the SeaWolves to their first win over College of St. Joseph since the 2014 season. In his two appearances, the right-hander combined for 10.1 IP and 19 strikeouts, allowing just three hits, three walks, and one run. At the plate, Francoeur delivered two RBIs in five at-bats.
