VTC men win home opener

On Wednesday night the Vermont Tech Men's Basketball team opened at home against Hampshire College.

With everybody playing in contributing the knights ran away victors 115-33. The game started would the knights going on a 15-0 run. They were able to force Hampshire into many jump shots and turnovers and capitalized on the offense of and. At the half the men led 58-16. This second half saw the men continue their strong play and secure the big victory.

Head Coach Alex Tyrrell was pleased to open the home schedule with the win.

"Everybody contributed and played hard tonight", said Coach Tyrrell. "It was great to see all the fans in the stands and the guys playing well together. We have had a great start to the season and we arelooking forward to continuing to improve as the semester goes on".

The Knights were led by Tyrone Hilson would 26 points and six rebounds. Jeremiah Shaw scored 16 points after returning from injury in his first game of the year.

The Knights we will play again Friday against Paul Smith's College tipping at 6 PM in shape gym they will then travel to Middlebury College on Sunday for a 1 PM tip.
