NHTI's Deric Jackson drills 3 at buzzer to send Lynx to men's championship game

AUBURN, Maine (YSCC) -- NHTI's Deric Jackson (26 points, 6 rebounds) grabbed a rebound, dribbled beyond the arch and with a defender draped all over him, drilled the game-winning 3-pointer as time expired to send the Lynx to the YSCC Men's Championship game on Sunday.

NHTI withstood a furious CMCC comeback and 11 lead changes to beat the Mustangs 83-81.

The Lynx led by 12 at the half, but CMCC, led by Josh Cherry (24 points, 11 rebounds) went on a 15-5 run to tie the game at 55.

The Mustangs and Lynx traded big bucket after big bucket the last 10 minutes of the game. CMCC was powered by Elijah Barbour (24 points, 6 for 13 from 3pt land) down the stretch.

The Lynx had a huge game from Sam Dorissaint who finished with 28 points. YSCC First Team All-Conference player J'Quavious Thurmond finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds for NHTI.

The Lynx will play for the YSCC men's championship Sunday at 2PM.
