Machias Men Capture YSCC Title

Concord, NH - The YSCC soccer final four were held over the weekend and the Clippers of Machias earned the YSCC Championship title.

In the Semi finals on Saturday Southern Maine Community College face NHTI and NHTI was able to get the 2-0 win.  Ramiro Osorio scored both goals for the Lynx.  In the other semifinal match-up, Paul Smith's face UMaine Machias and lost 4-1.  Ethan Ladoucher scored the lone goal for Paul Smith's.  Alfredo Palacios scored two goals for the Clippers and Juan Manual Oroczo and Jairo Ulises Castillo each added a goal.

On Sunday, in the Championship match, Machias was able to eke out the 2-1 win in a closely contested match.  The winning goal came in the 76th minute and was scored by Tyler Troup.  Jairo Ulises Castillo assited on the winning goal and scored a goal earlier in the match. Klye Hass score the only goal for NHTI.

Craig Kelly of Machias was named the Tournament MVP and Jairo Ulises Castillo was named the Offensive Player of the Tournament.  Patrick Bolton on NHTI was nemed the Defensive Player of the Tournament.
