Game 1: W, 11-3 (5 innings) | BOX

Martin took the circle for the home team in the first game of the afternoon using five shutout innings and eight strikeouts to earn her sixth win of the year. The sophomore climbed her k-total to 46 and helped her own cause going 3-4 from the lead-off spot with a double and two RBIs.

Ring was perfect from the dish going 3-3 adding an RBI, Philibotte smacked her second home run of the year and seventh of her career, and sophomore Morgan Boyle (Portland, Maine) delivered a triple.

The SeaWolf offense produced 11 runs spanning the first two innings, part of a 14-hit day. Central Maine collected four hits to post three runs.

Game 2: W, 12-3 (5 innings) | BOX

Martin earned the start again in game two but tossed a third of an inning to surrender three runs on four hits. First-year Emily Chasse (Monmouth, Maine) provided relief out of the pen and tossed 4.2 innings of scoreless softball to notch her fourth win of her rookie campaign.

The SMCC 1-2-3 hitters combined for seven hits, eight runs, and four RBIs in the game—Martin and Boyle both with triples.

The SeaWolves pushed four across in the first and third innings and scored three in the fifth— Chasse held the opposition scoreless in the bottom half to invoke the eight-run rule.

CMCC's Megan Theriault was taxed the loss in both games.

In a post-game interview, Head Magnant commented, "Happy to get two wins for our graduating sophomores, a great way to send them off. Everyone contributed in the batter's box or in the field. Looking forward to finishing our season on high note in New Hampshire!"

The results land SMCC 13-8 overall and 7-3 in conference play. CMCC remains winless at 0-10 overall, 0-8 against YSCC opponents.

The SeaWolves are set to host the Knights from the Community College of Rhode Island Saturday, Apr. 27 for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 12:00/2:00 p.m. LIVE STATS. Stay tuned using the SMCC Athletics Twitter account for weather updates over the weekend.
