SMCC's Boyle wins USCAA Softball POTW. SeaWolves McGaff wins YSCC Baseball POTW

(YSCC) -- Congratulations to Morgan Boyle for taking home this weeks USCAA and YSCC Softball Player of the Week. SMCC's Iain McGaff takes home the YSCC Baseball Player of the Week

Morgan Boyle | Southern Maine CC | SO | SS/3B

Morgan Boyle of Southern Maine CC is the USCAA and YSCC Softball Player of the Week. Boyle helped the Seawolves of Southern Maine CC to four wins last week in as many games. She was 9-15 from the plate for a .600 batting average and .684 on-base-percentage. The second-year player stole seven bases, knocked in 11 RBIs and had one home run to finish with a slugging percentage of 1.000.

BASEBALL
Iain McGaff | Southern Maine CC | FR | P/OF

McGaff picked up his second win of the season in an eight-inning performance vs. Great Bay Community College in which the right-hander allowed just five hits and zero earned runs. The first-year had a no-hitter intact through five innings and racked up 10 strikeouts. SMCC defeated the conference opponent 6-4 but held only a 2-1 advantage after six innings.
