The SeaWolves were led by Emily Lashua who had four hits on four at bats and drove in three runs.

SMCC drove in six runs in the bottom of the 5th inning let by and never looked back.

#1 NHTI vs #2 SMCC

NHTI Lynx pull ahead in the bottom of the 7th inning with a walk-off sacrifice fly to left field to secure the YSCC Tournament Championship.  The Southern Maine Community College SeaWolves pushed Lynx to the brink in the Championship game but came up just short.

Taylor Gagnon pitched a complete game for the Lynx striking out 4 and Emily Chasse and Meranda Martin shared pitching duties with Chasse striking out one and Martin striking out three respectively.

In a game of solid defense, the SeaWolves took an early lead with a single to centerfield by Sara Ring that brought Meranda Martin home.  The Lynx tied the game at one in the bottom of the 2nd

Hannah Winship, who was later named Tournament MVP collected two hits and one RBI for the Lynx.

Both teams tightened up on defense to hold the other scoreless over the next four innings.  The SeaWolves got their bats going in the top of the 7th but ended up leaving three runners stranded on a ground out to 2nd base.  This left the door open for the Lynx to win it in the bottom of the 7th

Congratulations to all the YSCC 2019 student/athletes.
