NHTI Women's Basketball Come Back for 70-58 win Over UMFK

CONCORD, N.H. – The NHTI women's basketball team came back from a 10-point deficit in the third period to top UMaine Fort Kent, 70-58. NHTI improves to 7-3 on the season and have now won three in a row. 

The Lynx struggled offensively in the first half scoring 25 points and headed into the break down, 32-25. 

NHTI, down 40-33 went on a 20-2 run late in the third into the fourth period to take a 54-47 lead with 6:30 remaining. Junior Riselly Deoleo (Manchester, N.H.) scored eight of her game-high 27 points during the stretch. Deoleo added19 rebounds and four steals. The Bengals pulled within five points, 53-58 with four minutes remaining but could not regain the lead. 

NHTI sophomore Melissa Martel (Derry, N.H.) scored 14 points and freshman Michaela Biron (Colebrook, N.H.) scored 13 points with 11 rebounds. 

The Lynx host Albany College of Pharmacy Sunday (Dec. 10) at 1 p.m. before the holiday break.
