Paul Smith's Wins YSCC Women's Soccer Title in PK's

Concord, NH - The YSCC hosted the Women's Soccer final four over the weekend and Paul Smith's College won the title in penalty kicks.

In the semi finals, on Saturday, Paul Smith's faced Unity College and won 6-3.  In that game, Pauls mSmith's scored 3 goals in the first 11 minutes and Unity was unable to come back from that deficit.  Scoring for Unity were McKinley Bell with 2 goals and Madison Newton with 1.  Elizabeth Matalavage, Nicole Landry and Jennifer Maguder each had 2 goals for Paul Smith's.

In the other semi final match, NHTI face UMaine Machias and Machias got the 4-0 win.  Emma LeGallis had to goals for the Clippers and Abigail Woodward and Kim Pratt each added 1.

In the championship game, Paul Smith's and Machias played an even match through regulation time and ended with a 2-2 score.  In two overtimes neither team was able to capitalize on their chances so the game went to penalty kicks.  The Bobcats were able to out duel the Clippers winning 9-8 in PK's. 

Aseneth Brooks (PSC) was named the Tournament MVP and Caitlin Willis (PSC was named the Defensive Player of the Tournament.  Emma LeGallis was named the Offensive Player of the Tournament.
