Two players take home USCAA Player of the Week Awards

(YSCC) - Congratulations to two YSCC women who took home Fall Week 1 USCAA Player of the Week Awards

Amber Chasse | University of Maine at Machias
Freshmen | Midfielder | Ashland, Maine

Amber Chasse of University of Maine Machias is the USCAA Women's Division II Soccer Player of the Week. Amber, a freshman, began her college soccer career as a starter for Maine Machias' first two regular season games. In those two games, she had 15 shots, three assists, and four goals. In the match against University of Maine at Presque Isle, Chasse scored a hat-trick which included the game-winning goal.

Freshmen | Goalkeeper | Pittsburg, Pennsylvania

Elana Lancia of University of Maine Machias is the USCAA Women's Division II Soccer Goalie of the Week. Elana proved to be a well-rounded athlete with exquisite keeper and crafty foot skills; this allowed her to truly be the 11th player her team needed. In the season opener versus Central Maine Community College, she grabbed 8 saves with a .899% save percentage. This stellar performance propelled her team to the win.
