(Augusta, ME) The women's UMA Moose soccer team found themselves in the driver's seat on Sunday, October 1st, defeating the Hampshire Black Sheep of Amherst, MA, 10-0. The scoring started when #8 Lexi Furrow fired a hard shot in on the Hampshire keeper from above the 18', forcing a rebound that #24 Bryannah Shea was able to put through at 12:14 for her first goal of the season. 4 other Moose would also score their first goals of the season; #20 Lena Mau (14:44), #21 Lily Corrigan (21:03), #22 Eran Dowd (50:24), and #16 Hailey Guilmet (55:19). #8 Lexi Furrow would find the back of the net at 30:44 for her second goal of the season. Hampshire struggled to find an answer for forward #18 Gabby Allen who ended the day with 4 goals (32:21), (34:52), (48:17), (66:03), and 3 assists. The women will hit the road next on Wednesday, October 4, 4PM when they travel to the Mustangs at CMCC.
