CONCORD, N.H.— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team delivered a dominant performance on the road against the Lynx of NHTI, cruising to a 16-4 victory on Friday, Oct. 4.

From the start, the Seawolves' offense looked relentless, jumping out to an early lead and never looked back.

In the first few innings, the SMCC bats came alive, with timely hits and aggressive base running that overwhelmed the Lynx defense. By the sixth inning, SMCC had built a commanding lead, with standout contributions from several hitters. Sophomore Quinn Dillon (Gorham, Maine) led the charge with a 4-hit performance. A clutch triple from Tyler Herkalo (Parkton, Md.) and a series of doubles from Dillon, Adam Rowland (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada), and Garrett McLeod (Winterport, Maine) added to the scoring frenzy, leaving NHTI struggling to keep pace.

On the mound, the Seawolves' pitching staff of Brady Pert (Penobscot, Maine) and Leudys Castillo (Portland, Maine) held the NHTI hitters in check, limiting the opposition to just four runs over eight innings. Despite a couple of strong innings where the Lynx managed to put runners on base, they couldn't generate enough offense to challenge SMCC's comfortable lead.

As the game wore on, SMCC continued to pile on the runs, and by the final inning, the outcome was well in hand.

The Seawolves will finish their fall season with a scrimmage against the University of Maine at Farmington on Saturday, Oct. 5.
