Bobcats Fall to Moose in Semester Finale
Paul Smiths, NY ~ The Paul Smith's College women's basketball team wrapped up their first semester on Sunday with a tough home loss to the University of Maine Augusta Moose. Despite a valiant effort, the Bobcats fell short in their final game of 2024, heading into the winter break with a 5-6 record as they sit at 3-3 in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) standings, occupying fourth place.
The Bobcats were led by DaVyne Johnson (Phoenix, AZ), who poured in a game-high 22 points to keep the offense flowing. Jordan Louis (Crystal, NM) contributed a strong all-around performance with 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Holly Bagley (Bloomfield, NY) continued her consistent play, tallying 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Bagley's presence on both ends of the court kept the Bobcats competitive. On the boards, Finnley Jacobson (Vergennes, VT) was dominant, grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds.
The Bobcats will now enjoy a much-needed break and will return to action in the new year. They're set to face Southern Maine CC on the road on January 11th as they look to bounce back and gain momentum for the second half of the season.
