POTTERSVILLE, N.Y. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team went on the road to face Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Word of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI) on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The Seawolves would be on the attack early, scoring their first courtesy of sophomore Isabella Tanis (Brewer, Maine) just five minutes into the game, assisted by senior Ammelia Lunt (West Gardiner, Maine). Tanis would find the back of the net once again, off an assist from Lunt in the 43rd minute, doubling the SMCC lead.

The second half would feature three more goals for the visitors. Lunt scored in the 68th minute off an assist from captain Jordyn Hulsey (South Portland, Maine). First-year Marissa Hill (Portland, Maine) finished her first of the season at the 75th minute and sophomore Talia Bradbury (South Portland, Maine) secured the victory for the Seawolves on a long cross from sophomore Leah Hill (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine).

The Seawolves' offensive production proved to be the difference in the game, totaling 21 shots, 11 on target. The SMCC goalkeeper tandem of Grayson Soldati (Portland, Maine) and Aubrey Gilbert (Farmingdale, Maine) recorded the clean sheet and seven total saves.

The Seawolves improved their record to 4-2-1 on the season, 2-0-1 in YSCC action.
