SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team faced Quincy College in an exciting non-conference doubleheader on Saturday, Sept. 14, coming away with victories in both games.

Game 1: W, 7-5
The first game saw the Seawolves start strong, with their offense generating early runs. Quincy fought back, keeping the game close with a few timely hits, but the Seawolves' bats stayed hot throughout the contest.

The pitching combination of Jack Morris (Millinocket, Maine) and Dante Tocci (Portland, Maine) proved enough to keep Quincy at bay. Offensive contributions from Quinn Dillon (Gorham, Maine) and Thomas Marcotte (Acushnet, Mass.) powered SMCC in game one. Dillon went 2-2 with 3 RBIs and Marcotte added two hits of his own. Despite a late push by Quincy, the Seawolves held on to win 7-5.

Game 2: W, 6-1
In the second game, the Seawolves took control early and never looked back. Their pitching dominated with Brady Pert (Penobscot, Maine) earning the win going five scoreless innings, only giving up two hits. The SMCC offense continued to produce with nine hits, most which came from the bats of Davis Kibler (Augusta, Maine), Tyler Herkalo (Parkton, Md.) and Marcotte. The Seawolves extended their lead in the later innings and cruised to a convincing 6-1 victory, completing the doubleheader sweep.
