SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team fell to Bridgton Academy 11-4 on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Despite collecting 10 hits, half of which came from Dante Tocci (Portland, Maine) and Alex Bean (Westbrook, Maine), the Seawolves were plagued by six costly errors that opened the door for Bridgton's offense to capitalize throughout the game.

Sophomore Adam Rowland (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada) took the loss for the SMCC giving up five runs, two earned on four hits in four innings. Noah Hebert (Candia, N.H.) and Tocci contributed with relief appearances.

Bridgton put together a solid day at the plate, tallying 12 hits while also showing patience with seven walks. The Wolverine hitters struck out just twice, consistently putting the ball in play and pressuring the SMCC defense. Bridgton took advantage of SMCC's defensive miscues to build a commanding lead.
