SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team hosted NHTI at Wainwright Sports Complex in its home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The matchup against the Lynx would be the first Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent the Seawolves faced this season. Throughout the game, the Seawolves would accumulate 14 shots, eight of those being shots on goal. Captain Jordyn Hulsey (South Portland, Maine) totalled three shots, two of those landing on goal. The Seawolves were unable to connect on one of their 14 shots, leading to their first draw of the season.

Junior Grayson Soldati (Portland, Maine) solidified her name in the history books by becoming SMCC's all-time leader in saves. Soldati had an amazing 11-save performance.

The result moves SMCC to 1-1-1 on the season.

The Seawolves are back in YSCC action on Friday, Sept. 13 against the Moose from the University of Maine at Augusta. Kickoff at Wainwright Sports Complex is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
