Bobcats Dominate Knights in YSCC Conference Victory
Randolph, VT ~ The Paul Smith's College women's basketball team showcased their skills Wednesday night in a commanding 75-47 win over Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Vermont State University at Randolph. A balanced attack and standout individual performances propelled the Bobcats to their second conference victory of the season.
Jordan Louis (Crystal, NM) delivered a sensational performance, leading all scorers with 25 points, including three 3-pointers. Louis also made her presence felt on defense, recording a game-high six steals while contributing five rebounds and three assists to add to her all-around effort.
Supporting Louis was Holly Bagley (Bloomfield, NY), who continued her strong play with 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Delaney Curley (Montrose, PA) provided a spark off the bench, adding 11 points and four rebounds, giving the Bobcats key contributions in crucial moments.
On the boards, Hayleigh Gates (West Winfield, NY) and Jillian York (Largo, FL) were instrumental in the team's rebounding dominance, securing seven and five rebounds, respectively. Their efforts helped limit the Knights' second-chance opportunities and created transition opportunities for the Bobcats in the process.
The Bobcats will return to the court for their final game before winter break on Sunday, December 15th as they host conference rival University of Maine at Augusta. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00PM at the Saunders Gymnasium.
