AUGUSTA, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team played to a tie 0-0, against Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) member University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) at the CARA Fields Complex on Thursday, Oct. 3.

The Seawolves set themselves up with plenty of offensive opportunities throughout the game, but were unable to find the back of the net. The Seawolves totaled 25 shots, with 17 landing on target. Second-year Jadyn Eastman (South Berwick, Maine) totaled the most shots for her team with eight. Sophomore Leah Hill (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) tallied the second highest shot count for the Seawolves with four shots, two of those landing on the opposing goal keeper from long range.

The Moose's goalkeeper Vanessa Wharton was able to make 17 saves in 90 minutes of play. The goalie duo of Grayson Soldati (Portland, Maine) and Aubrey Gilbert (Farmingdale, Maine) totaled five saves.

This would be the Seawolves second conference draw of the season, moving them to 2-1-2 in YSCC action. SMCC now has an overall record of 4-3-2 on the season.
