Augusta, ME – The CMCC Women's Basketball team scored first and led start to finish in a 73-59 win against UMaine-Augusta in the team's first Yankee Small College Conference contest of the campaign. Central Maine managed its eight-point lead for the rest of the half with six different players scoring in the second quarter. By the time the teams headed back to the locker room, the visitors were up 40-31.

However, the Mustangs pulled away for good in the final ten minutes with Lavigne and Jenny Chaput each scoring nine. CMCC posted its largest lead of the contest, up by 15, with 1:20 remaining.

Central Maine has now won its last 32 YSCC regular season games with its last conference loss coming against the Moose back in 2022.
