YSCC Players of the Week for September 21

(YSCC) - Another week in the books for the Yankee Small College Conference. Here is the list of this week's YSCC Players of the week: 

WOMEN'S SOCCER

Paige Lord | Southern Maine Community College | JR | M

Junior captain Paige Lord helped lead the SeaWolves to runaway victories against CMCC and VTC, scoring two goals in each. She totaled four goals, one assist, and nine points from the center midfield position.

MEN'S SOCCER

Mohamed Matan | Central Maine Community College | FR | F

Mohamed Matan scored two goals and had an assist in a 4-2 victory over SMCC. Mohamed Matan also had a goal in an exhibition game against Bridgton Academy. Matan has been a constant threat and pivotal to our team's offense.

VOLLEYBALL

Jordan Louis | Paul Smith's College | FR | OH/DS

Jordan is a terrific athlete and a spark plug for the Lady Bobcats. Her 20 aces this week sparked Paul Smith's College to four victories this past week. In addition, her 38 digs and 24 kills while contributing to 46 points round out her efforts on the court.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Jessie Church | Paul Smith's College | FR 

Jessie Church paced the Paul Smith's College Bobcats to a second-place team finish in the SUNY Poly Wildcat Weekend Classic 6K on Saturday (September 18th) with a 6th place finish. Jessie has been consistently the top Bobcat performer in the first three meets, and at practice sessions and in competition, she is cheering on her teammates on both the women's and men's teams. The Bobcats finished ahead of five NCAA D-III colleges in the Wildcat 6K as the team finished second to fellow USCAA school, SUNY ESF. Church is majoring in Sustainability and is also expected to be skiing on the Paul Smith's College Nordic Ski Team this winter.

GOLF

Wade Paquette | Great Bay CC 

Wade posted a season-best 76 at the UMaine Augusta tournament on Saturday, September 18th at Springbrook Golf Club. Wade has consistently finished in the top 5 each weekend.
