PAUL SMITH'S, N.Y.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team took down the Bobcats of Paul Smith's College 78-68 in its first Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) contest of the season on Saturday, Nov. 13.

SMCC clung to a 3-point advantage at the half and then outscored the opposition 44-37 to secure its third victory in a row. First-year Alexander Momo (Worcester, Mass.) filled the scoresheet with 15, followed by sophomore captain Zachary Mickle's (Billerica, Mass.) 14. Sophomore Cameren Cousins (Wells, Maine) netted 12 and junior captain Ian Regan (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) added 11.

Paul Smith's Anthony Henson led his team with 14 points.

Following the game, Head Coach Matt Richards expressed, "Today we had to find other ways to be successful on the court as our perimeter shots weren't falling. The team did a good job on the glass and really focused on the defensive end. Mid way through the second half the guys played a more efficient style on the offensive end with good inside-out action which really helped us pull away."

The SeaWolves climb to 3-0 overall, and 1-0 in YSCC action; Paul Smith's begins its season 0-1.

SMCC continues its conference slate at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on the second of the back-to-back Sunday, Nov. 14. Tip-off against the Panthers is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
