Herons Split games on the Road

The Men's and Women's Basketball teams traveled to Albany, NY to face the newest member of the Yankee Small College Conference, Albany College of Pharmacy on Saturday and the Men traveled to Paul Smith's College on Sunday.   

The men got off to a great start, leading by as many at 20 early in the game.  The Panthers clawed back in to the game but the Herons held them off to win 95-88.  Leading the way for the Herons was George Mortimer as he dropped 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.  George hit a season high 9 3-pointers in the game.  Also playing well for the Herons was Ethan May (18 pts, 8 reb, 9 assists & 5 steals) & Sean Murphy (20 pts). 

The men travelled up to Paul Smith's, NY on Sunday to take on the Bobcats.  The Herons came out a little flat but battled back in the 2nd half falling 75-89.  Leading the way for the Herons was, George Mortimer (18 pts & 8 rebs).  Pryce Madry also played well for the Herons adding 14 points and grabbing 3 rebounds. 

The Herons are back on the road on Wednesday as they travel to UMaine Augusta.  Both games will be broadcast live on the UMaine Augusta Athletics Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/UMAAthletics
