Auburn, ME - The Mustangs opened up the 2021 fall season with a convincing sweep over the Quincy Granite Saturday in Auburn.
In game 1, Corey Armstrong led the way with three hits and four RBI in CM's 8-4 win over Quincy College. CM collected 11 hits. Hayden Tremblay, Jimmy Reed and Armstrong all had multiple hits. Caleb Valliere, Will Bean, Rolando Rodriguez, Cole Eastman and Wyatt Lufkin all had time on the mound for the Mustangs.
In game 2, Max Dobkowski had an RBI single in the 6th to plate Jimmy Reed with the eventual winning run. CM went on to beat Quincy College 6-4. Reed led the Mustangs with 3 hits. Hunter Warren got the start on the mound. He got relief from Dobkowski and Reid Cote.
Athletic Director Gonyea adds, "We had a nice crowd supporting the boys and they did not disappoint. It is a new era in CM baseball and really refreshing. I am pleased with the committment from the kids and our coaching staff."
CM is 2-0 on the season and travels to NHTI next Saturday.
