Mustangs stifle Bengals, win in rout

Auburn, ME - In their first home game in over a month, the Mustangs put on a show to the tune of an 88-31 victory over UMaine Fort Kent. CM opened the gae up with a 23-0 run, and never looked back, holding the Bengals to a season low in points.

Five Mustangs scored in double figures, four of whom came off the bench. Leata Te Nana-Williams (Auckland, NZ) led the way with 15 points, including three triples, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Eliza Brault (Ossipee, NH) looked like her old self, finishing with 12 points, 8 rebound, 6 assists, and 3 steals in just 19 minutes of play. Luna Love (Zwolle, Netherlands) scored 11 points, and committed zero turnovers in a team-high 26 minutes at the point guard position. Myah Nicolas (Lewiston, ME) and Sarah Poli (Benton, ME) scored 10 points a piece. 

Safena Te Nana-Williams (Auckland, NZ) was relentless. She finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals while only committing 1 turnover. Emily Strachan (Lewiston, ME) scored 9 points, and filled the stat sheet with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.

The Mustangs held UMaine Fort Kent to 18% shooting with only 11 made field goals.

CM will be back in action tomorrow, when they head to Randolph, VT to take on the Knights of Vermont Technical College.
