SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team was blanked 1-0 by the Wolverines of Bridgton Academy in a non-conference match Thursday, Sept. 30.

The Wolverines jumped on the score board inside three minutes on a header that was redirected by Ornel Djomo. Bridgton continued to hold the advantage in possession but neither offense could find the next one in the attacking third.

SMCC goalkeeper Joshua Nagle (Biddeford, Maine) tallied seven saves in 90 minutes of work.

The result leaves SMCC 3-6-1 overall with four regular season games remaining.

The SeaWolves return to Wainwright Recreation Complex on Saturday, Oct. 2 on Alumni, Friends, and Family day for a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) matinee with Paul Smith's College (2-5). Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
