Mustangs can't catch Bobcats

Paul Smith, NY – What ended up being the lone game of the road trip to NY, the Mustangs battled with Paul Smith's College, but ended up losing 78-72. DeMarco McKissic paced the Mustangs with 24 points and 15 rebounds to keep the Mustangs within reach as they were down 10 at the break. The outside shooting play of Anthony Henson and Eddie Kwaw kept the Bobcats out in front as they combined for 12 made 3-pointers in the game with 7 of them being in the first-half.

Despite outscoring the Bobcats in the second-half, foul trouble would hurt the Mustangs in the long run as Marshall Evans and Jaeden Henderson would both foul out. With the Mustangs committing 21 fouls in the game, it gave plenty of opportunities for Paul Smith to connect from the foul line. The Bobcats would finish shooting 71% (22/31) from the line while on the other side CM only shot 37.5% (3/8). Despite a low shooting night from the foul line, the Mustangs ended with five players in double figures. For the Bobcats, Anthony Henson finished with 29 points and Eddie Kwaw finished with 24 points to lead the team to the win.

The Mustangs that ended in double figures were Malik Farley (13), Corey David (10), Jaeden Henderson (11), Marshall Evans (10) and DeMarco McKissic (24). CM is back in action on Wednesday night when they host the UMA Moose for a Yankee-conference match-up.
