Auburn, ME - They Mustangs did not shoot well from the floor (27%), from the 3-point line (21.4%), or from the foul line (13 misses), but they found a way to win. CM dominated the battle in the paint, to the tune of a +19 rebounding advantage, including 24 offensive rebounds, and that was enough to hold on for the win.

Emily Strachan (Lewiston, ME) led the Mustangs, and even with a cold shooting performance, still scored a game-high 14 points. Strachan also recorded 11 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 assists. Sarah Poli (Benton, ME) played a physical game inside the paint, and recorded a game-high 12 rebounds, to go along with 5 points, and 2 massive, second half blocks. As usual, Jade Smedberg (Oxford, ME) did all of the little things for the Mustangs, and came up with two huge steals in the 4th quarter. Leata Te Nana-Williams (Auckland, NZ) played well off the bench, hitting two 3's and finishing with 7 points.

Tara Flanders led the Seawolves with 12 points and 7 rebounds before fouling out.

With the win the Mustangs improve to 10-2 overall and 5-1 in the Yankee Conference. They now head into the holiday break, and will be back in action on January 8th and 9th when they head to Saranac Lake, NY to participate in the North Country Invitational Tournament.
