SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team earned its second Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) victory with a 2-1 result over the Lynx from NHTI on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

Sophomore captain Dylan Weyeneth (St. Agatha, Maine) connected on a ball from forward Eriksen Shea (Freeport, Maine) at the 2:19 marker to get the quick score. The same combination linked up at 65:02 to double the lead for the home team.

NHTI's Iddrisu Abdallah netted a score in the 78th minute, but it was too little too late for the Lynx who outshot SMCC 26-14.

Sophomore goalkeeper Joshua Nagle (Biddeford, Maine) tallied 12 saves in 90 minutes of work.

SMCC stands 3-4 overall, 2-0 YSCC. NHTI sits 3-2-2 on the season, 2-1 in conference action.

The SeaWolves return to league action when they travel to Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Saturday, Sept. 25. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
