MSOC: Lynx shut out Springfield Tech

CONCORD, NH (NHTI) – Bill Miller picked up win number one on Saturday as the Lynx got back in the win column defeating the Rams by a 1-0 final.

NHTI dominated possession throughout the contest making it tough for Springfield Tech CC to get many scoring opportunities. After a lackluster first half the Lynx started to get more and more scoring chances which paid off in the 61st minute. A battle for the ball inside the box was won by Antoine Leary (Weare, NH) who found the back of the net off a laser shot that deflected off a Ram. NHTI's defense held strong in front of Shaun Goyette (Berlin, NH), who picked up his first collegiate win in net with a five save shutout. The Lynx will next play on September 14th at 4:15 PM vs Northern Essex CC.
