MSOC: Panthers get road win against Knights

RANDOLPH, VT (ACPHS) – Coach John Adeseko said "The team controlled the play throughout the game, but it was in the second half where we picked up the intensity which led to four second half goals."

The Panthers rolled to two straight wins after hanging five goals on the host Vermont Tech Knights on Sunday. It was a less clinical start than Adeseko would have liked, but the Panther pressure did eventually lead to a foul in the box and a chance at a penalty for Anes Bostandzic. The senior slotted home to put the Panthers up 1-0 nearly 22 minutes into the game. Consistent throughout the game was a strong performance from the defense who gave the Knights only a single opportunity on goal for the game.

In the second half, pressure led to results as the Panthers high pressing style led to another early second-half goal for Bostandzic. Chuck Middleton and Firaas Anis added two more goals on 54' and 55' minutes respectively, to put the game out of reach. However, Coach Adeskeo has drilled the players into not settling, and Sam Rowley added a fifth just before time expired.
